Started on 100mg and around 5 years ago moved to 300mg due to repeated attacks with the mildest if dehydration or excessive purines and esp trigger food /drinks. 300 has served me well but in the last 18 months I've had 3 significant attacks and perhaps 20 or so 'day long' flares of the toe etc WebAllopurinol starts dropping your serum UA levels very quickly.
